Yeah, I had a student the NEXT day, same class, different student ask (in all seriousness, because she TOTALLY understood the gay math analogy, which I had allowed the student to share as long as everyone was respectful to the use of the word gay ... and they were ...) "so when there's x cube as well, do gay math still apply?" To which I could give her a big grin and say "YES! You TOTALLY get it!!"
