I've heard it said that, whenit comes to gender politics, women struggle with being "sex symbols" and men struggle with being "success symbols." I think both are reasonably healthy goals to have in life, but like most things, fall short when they become the controlling factors in who and what we define ourselves as.

This is amazing and yet so sad because it's true. We are so hung up on being pretty that we often forget what actually matters.
